Alex Peverett | Chlorovalis Utodea Haterumensis [2008]
Raster based computer graphics image.
Alex Peverett is a multidisciplinary artist living and working in the north of Japan. He is active in the fields of computer art, electronic music composition and sound design, video art, design, installation, audio/visual presentation and video-music.
In the production of his computer graphics works, created since 1981, he utilizes both obsolete and current computer based paint packages across a range of platforms. Although colour is the primary focus of his works, his 2D raster graphic images also explore gradients, texture, shapes, repetition, the disruption of repetition and border on optical illusion. The works are neither generative nor algorithmic nor do they explore error, they are hand drawn through the use of graphical user interfaces.
