Toko | Wealth versus Happiness Graphiti [2009]
One of a series of ongoing graph generated artworks. This particular graph visualises, and contradicts, the common understanding that money equals happiness by comparing the 100 richest countries. (Legend – Left top to bottom: Green = Rich, Red = Poor ; Right top to bottom: Yellow = Happy, Brown = Unhappy.)
Under the project name ‘Graphiti’, Toko explores the idea of the graph as a work of abstract art, by progressively blurring the boundaries between art, science and research.
